Mikey 17 (2025) is directed by Bong Joon-ho, celebrated for his Academy Award-winning film "Parasite." The movie stars Robert Pattinson as Mickey Barnes, alongside Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo. Bong's direction and the stellar performances of the cast bring this sci-fi black comedy to life.

The plot follows Mickey Barnes, an "Expendable" worker on a space mission to colonize the icy planet Niflheim. Mickey is cloned and reprinted after each death to perform dangerous tasks. When Mickey 17 survives a presumed fatal mission and returns to find Mickey 18 already created, tensions rise. The film explores themes of identity, survival, and the ethical dilemmas of cloning.

"Mikey 17" premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and received critical acclaim for its direction and performances, though it did not win major awards.
