Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio 4K The Criterion Collection US Edition

A classic tale is reborn through the visionary imagination of cinematic master Guillermo del Toro, co-directing with Mark Gustafson. Brought to life through breathtaking, boundary-pushing stop-motion animation, this darkly enchanting reimagining of the story of the puppet boy and his maker shifts the setting to Fascist Italy. In this haunting new context, Pinocchio embarks on a journey through war, loss, and sacrificeÑgradually discovering what it truly means to be human.

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, this adaptation features the voices of Ewan McGregor, Cate Blanchett, Tilda Swinton, and Christoph Waltz, and offers a bold, emotionally resonant take on the timeless fableÑone that celebrates courage, compassion, and the power of imagination.
