The film
About the film
In modern-day San Francisco, the enigmatic Louis de Pointe du Lac recounts the extraordinary story of his life to a young journalist — a tale spanning two centuries of immortality, desire, loss and blood.
Haunted by grief and searching for meaning, Louis encounters the charismatic and ruthless vampire Lestat, who draws him into an existence of eternal youth and insatiable hunger. Their turbulent relationship grows increasingly complex with the arrival of Claudia, a young girl whose transformation binds them together as an unconventional and deeply troubled family.
Directed by Neil Jordan and adapted from Anne Rice’s celebrated novel, Interview with the Vampire is a lavish and atmospheric gothic horror exploring immortality, loneliness, morality and the destructive nature of love.
