The film
About the film
Ray (Ray Gange) is a young fan in the United Kingdom who drifts into the orbit of The Group (Joe Strummer, Topper Headon, Paul Simonon, Mick Jones), seeking a taste of life on the road and a place in the music scene. The film follows Ray’s fictional journey alongside real public events — from political demonstrations to concert performances — giving a raw, on-the-ground view of the era. Directed by Jack Hazan and David Mingay, 1980.
