Showing Up 4K UHD US Edition

Showing Up is a quietly compelling character study directed by Kelly Reichardt and starring Michelle Williams as Lizzy, a reserved sculptor navigating the frustrations and small triumphs of her artistic life in Portland. As she prepares for an upcoming gallery show, Lizzy must also juggle day-to-day disruptions: a flaky landlord (who’s also an artist), a wounded pigeon, workplace tensions at the art college, and the emotional distance within her family.

With Reichardt’s trademark minimalism and attention to detail, the film explores the tension between making art and living life, capturing the rhythms of creativity, loneliness, and the mundane yet meaningful moments that shape an artist’s world. It’s an understated, humanistic film about expression, connection, and the quiet persistence required to keep showing up.
