The film
About the film
Five friends travel to a remote cabin deep in the woods for what should be a relaxing getaway. Instead, they uncover an ancient evil that awakens a terrifying force beyond their control. As demonic entities begin to possess the group one by one, a desperate fight for survival unfolds in the isolated wilderness.
Bruce Campbell stars as Ash Williams in Sam Raimi's groundbreaking horror classic, a film that redefined independent genre filmmaking and launched one of horror cinema's most beloved franchises. Combining relentless terror, inventive camera work, dark humour and astonishing practical effects, The Evil Dead remains as shocking and influential today as it was upon release.
A landmark of horror filmmaking, The Evil Dead unleashed an army of primitive screwheads upon the world and cemented Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell as icons of the genre.
