Thunderbolts Limited Edition Steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray

Thunderbolts* is the 36th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), released on May 2, 2025. It follows a team of antiheroesÑYelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, U.S. Agent, and TaskmasterÑbrought together by CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine for a covert mission. Tasked with neutralizing a superhuman threat, they uncover a deeper conspiracy involving the unstable Bob Reynolds, aka the Sentry. As chaos erupts and a darker force known as the Void emerges, the group must confront personal demons and forge a shaky alliance to stop global devastation. In the end, they're publicly rebranded as the "New Avengers."

Directed by¬†Jake Schreier, known for Robot & Frank and Beef, Thunderbolts* takes a darker, character-focused turn within the MCU. The film blends visceral action with psychological depth, exploring themes of trauma, guilt, and redemption. Florence Pugh performs a dramatic skyscraper stunt herself, exemplifying the film's commitment to practical effects and grounded intensity. The narrative also uses haunting visualsÑsuch as "shame rooms" where characters relive their worst memoriesÑto illustrate internal conflict. With a tone closer to The Winter Soldier than a traditional ensemble superhero movie, it balances emotional complexity with Marvel's trademark spectacle.

The home release includes deleted scenes, a gag reel, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and director commentary exploring character arcs and production design.
