The Apartment Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD

Billy Wilder's The Apartment is a romantic dramedy that blends sharp satire with heartfelt emotion. Jack Lemmon stars as C.C. Baxter, a low-level insurance clerk who tries to climb the corporate ladder by lending out his Manhattan apartment to company executives for their extramarital affairs. His life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers that his boss, Jeff Sheldrake (Fred MacMurray), is using the apartment to carry on an affair with elevator operator Fran Kubelik (Shirley MacLaine), the woman Baxter secretly loves.

Balancing biting corporate critique with tender romance, Wilder crafts a story that is both cynical and deeply human. Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine deliver iconic performances, their chemistry grounding the film's mix of comedy and heartbreak. Stylishly directed and written with Wilder's signature wit, The Apartment was a box office and critical triumph, winning five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.
