The story begins with activists accidentally releasing a rage-inducing virus from a laboratory. Twenty-eight days later, Jim awakens to find society collapsed. As he struggles to survive, he teams up with a small group of survivors who face not only the infected but also the darker instincts of humanity itself. Together, they search for safety and hope, encountering both kindness and cruelty along the way.
28 Days Later was a critical and commercial success, praised for revitalizing the zombie genre with its gritty realism, emotional depth, and terrifying "fast infected." It became a major influence on modern horror cinema and spawned a sequel, 28 Weeks Later.
