New Jack City Blu-Ray
The film
About the film
Wesley Snipes delivers one of his defining performances as Nino Brown, the ruthless head of the Cash Money Brothers, whose crack empire is rapidly taking control of New York City. Determined to bring him down, streetwise cop Scotty Appleton (Ice-T) goes undercover, putting himself directly inside Brown’s increasingly violent organisation.
Directed by Mario Van Peebles, New Jack City is a hard-edged early-’90s crime thriller combining gangster drama, undercover policing and a snapshot of New York during the crack epidemic. The cast also includes Chris Rock, Judd Nelson, Allen Payne and Mario Van Peebles.
