The film
About the film
In the bustling streets of Buenos Aires, two con menÑseasoned hustler Marcos and eager newcomer JuanÑteam up for what seems like the perfect score: selling a forged set of rare stamps known as the "Nine Queens" to a wealthy, unscrupulous collector. As the day unfolds, alliances shift, secrets surface, and nothing is quite what it seems. Directed with razor-sharp precision by Fabián Bielinsky, Nine Queens is a masterclass in deceptionÑa tightly plotted caper that keeps audiences guessing until the final frame. Stylish and layered, the film explores trust, greed, and manipulation in a post-crisis Argentina, anchored by charismatic performances from Ricardo Darín and Gastón Pauls. A modern noir classic with a twist ending that rewards every sleight of hand.
