The film
About the film
This prequel to Tobe Hooper horror classic takes audiences back to 1969, unraveling the gruesome origins of Leatherface and the Hewitt family. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the film dives into how a once troubled young man became the chainsaw-wielding killer, showing the family descent into cannibalism and murder. Following two brothers and their girlfriends traveling through Texas, the story quickly devolves into carnage when Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) ensnares them in the Hewittsâ sadistic rituals.
