Red Planet is a sci-fi thriller set in the mid-21st century, when Earth faces ecological collapse and humanity looks to Mars as its last hope for survival. A team of astronauts is sent to the red planet to investigate failed terraforming efforts and search for a way to sustain life. Once there, disaster strikes: their ship is damaged, communications are lost, and the crew is left stranded in an unforgiving environment.

As the astronauts struggle against dwindling oxygen, internal tensions, and the hostile Martian terrain, they make a shocking discovery—Mars may not be as barren as once thought. Mixing survival drama with philosophical undertones, Red Planet explores humanity’s relationship with technology, nature, and the will to endure. Despite mixed reviews at release, it has since found an audience as a stylish late-’90s/early-2000s sci-fi entry, remembered for its atmospheric visuals and pulpy survival narrative.
