The Ballad of Wallis Island 4K UHD

The Ballad of Wallis Island follows Charles Heath, an eccentric lottery winner living alone on a remote island, who spends his fortune to reunite his favourite (now‑split) folk duo, Herb McGwyer and Nell Mortimer, for a private concert at his home. As the former bandmates and ex‑lovers accept the invitation, old tensions and emotions resurface. The film mixes warm humour, melancholy nostalgia, and heartfelt drama Ñ exploring grief, memory, redemption, and the power of music to heal old wounds. With sharp writing and sensitive performances by Tom Key, Tom Basden, and Carey Mulligan, the film delivers a touching, bittersweet story about second chances, friendship, and the small miracles that come from reconnection.
