Tron 4K Ultra HD UK Edition

Directed by Steven Lisberger, Tron is a pioneering science fiction film that merged live action with groundbreaking computer-generated imagery. The story follows Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), a gifted computer programmer who gets transported inside the digital world of a mainframe computer. Within this electronic landscape, programs are personified as gladiators who compete in deadly games under the tyranny of the Master Control Program.

Guided by the heroic program Tron (Bruce Boxleitner) and aided by fellow rebel Yori (Cindy Morgan), Flynn must navigate neon-lit arenas, light cycle battles, and disc duels to stop the MCP and reclaim his stolen work.

Visually revolutionary for its time, Tron combined backlit animation, CGI, and bold art design to create a one-of-a-kind aesthetic that influenced decades of science fiction and video game culture. Though divisive upon release, it became a cult classic and later spawned an animated series, video games, and the 2010 sequel Tron: Legacy.
