About the film
In Bruges is a darkly comedic crime drama written and directed by Martin McDonagh. After a botched hit in London, rookie hitman Ray (Colin Farrell) and his seasoned partner Ken (Brendan Gleeson) are sent to the medieval Belgian city of Bruges to lie low. Ray, tormented by guilt, finds the picturesque setting unbearable, while Ken embraces its charm. As they await orders from their volatile boss Harry (Ralph Fiennes), tensions rise and moral dilemmas surface. Blending sharp dialogue, violence, and emotional depth, In Bruges is a tragicomic meditation on guilt, redemption, and the inescapable weight of past sins.
