Crossing Blu-Ray
The film
About the film
Crossing, directed by Levan Akin (And Then We Danced), is a tender, quietly powerful drama exploring identity, grief, and human connection across borders. The story follows Lia, a retired teacher in Georgia, who travels to Istanbul with her teenage neighbor Achi in search of her estranged transgender niece Tekla. As their journey unfolds, they encounter cultural divides, generational tensions, and the quiet strength of queer resilience. Set against the backdrop of two richly textured cities, Crossing is a moving meditation on chosen family, empathy, and the bridges we buildÑliterally and metaphoricallyÑacross difference and trauma.
