End of Watch is a gripping, visceral police drama that follows LAPD officers Brian Taylor (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Mike Zavala (Michael Peña), two partners and close friends who patrol South Central Los Angeles. Shot in a pseudo–found footage style, much of the film is presented through handheld cameras and body cams, offering a raw, documentary-like immersion into the dangers of modern policing.

While responding to routine calls, the duo inadvertently stumble upon a human trafficking ring operated by a powerful Mexican drug cartel. As they dig deeper, their actions put them on a collision course with violent criminals who mark them for assassination. Amid the escalating threat, the film also explores the deep camaraderie between the two officers, their personal lives, and the toll their profession takes on relationships and mental health.
