Heretic is a psychological horror thriller written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The film stars Hugh Grant in a rare villainous role as Mr. Reed, a seemingly charming but deeply unsettling man who invites two young Mormon missionaries into his home. The missionaries, played by Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East, initially believe they are simply discussing religion, but soon realise they have walked into a terrifying psychological trap.

As the conversation becomes increasingly disturbing, Mr. Reed subjects the women to a twisted series of philosophical games and manipulations designed to test their faith, beliefs and will to survive.
