Friendship is a dark, cringe-comedy about the dangerous side of adult male bonding. Tim Robinson plays Craig, a socially awkward marketing exec whose marriage is fraying after his wife’s battle with cancer is now in remission. When his new neighbor Austin (Paul Rudd), a charismatic local TV meteorologist, moves in, Craig seizes on the chance for companionship. Their connection begins innocently with shared beers, mushroom hunting, and exploring tunnels under city hall — but cracks appear as Craig becomes increasingly infatuated and insecure. What starts as yearning for a friend spirals into obsession, betrayal, and reckless behavior. Deeply uncomfortable and darkly funny, Friendship casts a sharp lens on male loneliness, emotional repression, and how far one might go to reclaim connection.
