Love Lies Bleeding is a romantic thriller directed by Rose Glass, set in 1989 in a small town in New Mexico. Kristen Stewart plays Lou, a reclusive gym manager estranged from her powerful father (Ed Harris). When ambitious bodybuilder Jackie (Katy O’Brian) passes through town training for a competition in Las Vegas, Lou is drawn into her world. A romance blooms, but Lou’s family’s criminal past—and Jackie’s steroid use—drag them into a spiral of violence, betrayal, and cover-ups. As love turns dangerous, Lou makes desperate choices to protect both Jackie and herself. The film is intense, dark, and emotionally raw, blending romance with crime, family drama, and the cost of loyalty in a world scarred by abuse and secrecy.
