Sinners (Original Soundtrack)

This is the Soundtrack Album, predominantly featuring the songs from the Film. (Goransson's score is due later this year)

Sinners (2025) features two distinct yet deeply interwoven albums—a Soundtrack of period-performed songs and an Original Score by Ludwig Göransson—both serving as pivotal elements of Ryan Coogler’s supernatural horror set in 1930s Mississippi.

Göransson crafted the score predominantly on a rare 1932 Dobro resonator guitar, focusing on blues-infused textures that double as a narrative voice. The instrument’s natural resonator-driven tone deepens the atmosphere, reinforcing themes of mysticism and community. The score was composed on set in collaboration with director Ryan Coogler and produced alongside Serena Göransson, aiming to deliver authenticity and emotional resonance rooted in Black Southern musical traditions  .

The soundtrack album features 22 tracks released April 18, 2025, combining blues, gospel, folk, jazz, and soul—many performed live on set by cast members and regional musicians. Guest performers include Rod Wave, whose title track “Sinners” anchors the album, alongside Brittany Howard, Raphael Saadiq, Rhiannon Giddens, Hailee Steinfeld (“Dangerous”), James Blake, Eric Gales, and Buddy Guy  . This album is a fusion of historical and contemporary influences—blues guitar licks, gospel vocal depth, and burst of electric guitar during supernatural climaxes reflect the film’s tonal shifts
