The Stunt Man Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-Ray

Director: Richard Rush

THE STUNT MAN

Cameron (Steve Railsback, Lifeforce) is a man adrift in post-Vietnam America—a fugitive on the run, scarred by war and pursued by the law. In a desperate bid to escape, he stumbles onto the set of a World War I movie directed by the wildly egotistical Eli Cross (Peter O’Toole, Lawrence of Arabia). When the production’s lead actor dies during a stunt, Cameron seizes his chance for anonymity—slipping into the role of stunt double, hiding in plain sight among the chaos of filmmaking.

But nothing on an Eli Cross set is quite what it seems. As Cameron is drawn deeper into the director’s warped world, the line between illusion and reality begins to blur. Is he simply performing stunts—or being manipulated into something far more dangerous? Caught in a psychological game with a possibly unhinged genius, Cameron’s grip on truth, trust, and even his own identity begins to fray.

Newly restored in 4K, The Stunt Man is a genre-defying cult classic—equal parts thriller, satire, and cinematic love letter. Despite limited distribution on its original 1980 release, the film earned three Academy Award nominations, including Best Director for Richard Rush. With dazzling action, razor-sharp meta-commentary, and one of Peter O’Toole’s most electrifying performances, it remains an unforgettable ode to movie magic.
