About the film
Kingpin is a sports comedy directed by the Farrelly brothers that follows Roy Munson (Woody Harrelson), a once-promising bowler whose career was ruined after a hustling scheme ended with him losing his hand. Years later, washed-up and broke, Roy discovers Ishmael (Randy Quaid), a naive Amish man with natural bowling talent. Seeing a shot at redemption, Roy trains Ishmael to compete in a high-stakes tournament, hoping to beat his old rival, the sleazy and flamboyant Ernie McCracken (Bill Murray). Filled with outrageous humor, gross-out gags, and oddball heart, Kingpin is a cult comedy about second chances and unlikely friendship.
