Jason X (2001) is a science fiction slasher film directed by James Isaac. The movie features Kane Hodder reprising his role as Jason Voorhees, alongside Lexa Doig as Rowan and Lisa Ryder as Kay-Em 14. Notably, filmmaker David Cronenberg makes a cameo appearance as Dr. Wimmer.
Set in the year 2455, Jason X follows Jason Voorhees after he is accidentally cryogenically frozen and awakens aboard a spaceship centuries later. Once revived, he embarks on a killing spree among the crew and passengers, leading to a climactic battle in space.
Jason X did not receive any major awards but has garnered a cult following for its unique setting and imaginative take on the Friday the 13th franchise.
